The Best Is Yet To Come. Markus, the head of sound of Thomas Anders and owner of the Blue Sound Event Group, gave me a call in december 2025. It was a cold day and I havn’t even seen the sun for quit some days. My job year more or less done and I started thinking about the next one.

Markus told me about the Thomas Anders Tour 2026: „The Best Is Yet To Come.“ After a very long break, Thomas wanted to play several shows in Germany and Austria. I already knew Markus because we worked together on the „This Is The Greatest Show“ tour in 2025.

The biggest task was to design a show that contains modern aspects while maintaining an 80s „look and feel“. I chose modern LED lamps and decided against specifying old halogen fixtures. In my opinion, the potential for technical failure on tour is simply too big. Furthermore, an LED blinder can be so much more than just a blinder – it can also function as a strobe or provide a snappy hit with no fade time.

That is probably one of the things I like most about my programming: using a fixture for more than just one task. I also didn’t want the programming to be too „busy“. It was more about the visual pictures I wanted to create. A major focus was illuminating and highlighting all the different kicks and musical elements in Thomas’s music.

In the end, I created a show that is quite modern but carries a lot of that 80s vibe. Thanks for the trust – and is the best yet to come? We will see!
