Musical Touring. In late march, Florian Schmitt called me and asked if I could jump on a bus and be the lighting director for the musical revue „This Is The Greatest Show“. The show is all about the musical song highlights, performed by the best musical singers in Europe. I didn’t even think about denying this offer.

Four hours later, I was in a car on my way to the „Emsland Arena“ where I had the chance to see the show once. After the show, I got onto the Nightliner – without a clue how I was supposed to operate this crazy piece of perfomance for the next 45 days.

The next day was my premiere with this show in the fabulous „Theater am Hafen“ in Hamburg.

The first few show days were unique. The first week was an adventure. After show number 10, it was routine and a pleasure.

I really enjoyed the times with my crew, developing the show and recreating it from show to show.

We toured back-to-back around Germany with only one stop in Austria. In total, I was on tour for 45 days, with a 10-day tour break in between.
